James L. Nagle, FAIA
Jim currently serves as Of Counsel to Nagle Hartray. Since founding the firm in 1966, Jim has designed award-winning projects of every type – from educational and commercial facilities to over 100 custom homes nationwide. He became a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 1981. Jim’s oral history is a part of the Chicago Architects Oral History Project for The Art Institute of Chicago.

Jim has taught design at the University of Illinois Chicago, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and was a visiting lecturer and critic at a number of other architecture schools. He has served as Chairman of the National AIA Committee on Design, Chairman of the Chicago AIA Housing Committee, President of the Chicago Architecture Foundation, President of the Graham Foundation Board, a member of the WBEZ-FM Board of Directors, a member of the Board of Trustees for Archeworks, and Design Juror on many State and National Awards Programs.
