"Our teachers and families are thrilled. The most fun was taking kids through the new space. They were so amazed and excited. It's added an extra bounce in everyone's step in the new year."

Area:  14,000 square feet

Site & Program:  This project involved the renovation of the second and third floors of a historic Burnham building that houses the Chiaravalle Montessori School.  The program called for classroom and hallway improvements based on the recommendations of a two-phased master plan provided by our firm.

Design:  The work completed in the first phase includes both light and heavy renovations.  Both floors received environmentally sustainable flooring, enhanced storage, repainting with low-VOC paint, and improved lighting.

The third floor was entirely transformed to make room for new elementary science facilities and create eight equally-sized classrooms.

Future work in the second phase will include a 3-story, 16,000 square foot addition to include classrooms and a gymnasium.
